RAPE

Now should we treat women as an independent agents,responsible for them? Of course yes..! but being responsible has nothing to do with rape .Women do not get raped due to their friend circles.Women do not get raped due to their dressing styles .Women get raped because someone raped them.

"It was not her dress ; it was his evil mind"

Rape is the fourth most common crime against women in India.33,356 rape cases were reported according to (NCRB) national crime records bureau in 2018.Out of these 31,320 were committed by known to the victims.(93.9% of the cases).

India has been characterized as one of the "Countries with the lowest per capital rates of rapes"Many reports go unreported and many are forcefully compromised.

Why rapes are rising constantly?

Our society is one of the greatest cause of rapes.society blames the victim instead of supporting them.It says to change your dressing style,stop doing makeup,do not stay out late night . Why we will change ourselves? do the dress provoke? Are woman in saree,suits and burqas not raped?Do the makeup is an invitation or a yes to them?We have instances when men raped animals.Should we clothe animals too?How do u explain rapes on minors , infants,old aged women,women in hospitals suffering from severe ailments? People rape their daughters,sisters and sometimes even mothers.

Another reason is the lack of sex education :-Boys in the age of adolescence have an urge to explore.This desire makes them to access porn easily. Also, the abusive and vulgar lyrics in songs need to be repress.Sexually obsessed rapists do not consider women as human being but as an object that can be violated with freedom from punishment.We need better cctv mapping connections at desolate areas.We need to question the criminal not the sufferer,the time of rape or the dress she wore.

Acceptance of domestic violence is one of the cause of rapes .A 2012 report by UNICEF found that 57% of Indian boys and 53% of girls between the ages of 15-19 think wife beating is justified.And women blame themselves for being beaten by their husbands.

"If a boy in his growing age seeing his father assault his mother ,he starts to accept such a behavior and do the same way".

One of the reason is An inactive court system :-India's court system is worryingly slow . Due lack of judges.We have 15 judges for every 1 million people ,while china has 159. Legal laws are not strict in our country.Even police forces victim to do compromise and to drop the rape cases.

# Class 7th student raped by school

manager in UP's gorakhpur who also made a video of her and threatened to post it on social media if she discloses the matter to anyone.

On July 30 , school manager harendra yadav (38) called the 15 year old girl to his house and raped her.

#Youth raped a minor in Odisha.

BARIPADA:-A 19 year old youth Rashmikanta singh had raped a minor girl at Arjanbada village .

He kidnapped the girl on July 19 from tha parent's farmland and raped her on numerous occasions . The police during the probe found that his parents had encouraged him to commit the offence.

#In the last 3 months ,many cases have been reported of fathers raping their daughters across India.

#Recently another headlines grabbed attention in khagaul police station ,Patna where a 40 years old man was arrested for raping his minor daughter for the last 4 years . She alleged that her father has been raping her since she was 12 years old.

#In May a case was reported in Haryana's panchkula district where a mentally challenge 23 year old women , was raped by her father ,she delivered a stillborn baby at a hospital . She admitted that her family members were not aware of his father's act.Her father was raping her from the last several months.

Women are not safe even at their own home .We are not a toy . We are human beings .We have the rights to live , to laugh, to travel , to work, to fulfill our dreams . Let us live our life in our own ways . Let us breathe freely.
